Notes for Out of State Volunteers

If you do not have a place to stay, hotel options range from around $30-$60 a night, and we can suggest hotels located in places where volunteer support is most needed.

If not, we do have options for limited free supporter housing and can put you down as someone interested in this option. You’ll want to bring along an air mattress and sleeping bag in case floor space is available in one of our supporters’ homes. We will place you in-state as soon as possible, and we will then confirm your lodging at a later date as we firm up these options.

Furthermore, it is critical that you have transportation once in South Carolina. We are expecting many volunteers to come in for those final days of the campaign, and it is nearly impossible for the campaign staff to work out transportation logistics for each and every volunteer. Please let us know if you will be able to provide your own transportation.
